The Scholars Program

The Scholars Program at Clarkson University Capital Region Campus is designed to recognize students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and professional excellence. Students who are accepted into the program receive up to $25,000 in tuition scholarship and the opportunity to replace two electives with a research project completed in conjunction with a faculty mentor.

The Scholars Program at Clarkson University Capital Region Campus is the School of Business’ most prestigious academic award. Up to 10 exceptional management students will be selected for the program for Fall 2015, based on their commitment to excellence in professional and academic pursuits.

Program Benefits

  • A scholarship that covers 50% of tuition for three years, up to $25,000
  • A specially-assigned faculty or industry mentor in the student’s area of professional interest
  • The option to pursue a faculty-guided research project in place of two elective courses

  • Significant work experience and professional achievement
  • Strong ethical leadership skills and commitment to the service of others, as demonstrated in professional and community settings
  • Academic accomplishment

Program Requirements
To be considered for the program, applicants must meet the following guidelines:

For the MBA Program:

  • Five or more years professional work experience
  • One year or more of management or supervisory experience
  • 3.5 undergraduate GPA or a graduate degree

For the MBA in Healthcare Management or MS in Healthcare Data Analytics:

  • Licensed practitioner
    • Graduate-level training
    • Three years post-residency or training

OR

  • Manager or BSN at healthcare provider or healthcare payer services
    • Five or more years of professional work experience
    • One year or more of management or supervisory experience
    • 3.5 undergrad GPA or a graduate degree

Any scholarship awarded will be in place of previous awards from Clarkson University Capital Region Campus. Scholars must maintain a 3.2 GPA to remain in the program.
