About The Graduate School

A Clarkson University Graduate Degree is about Real Connections, Real Experience, and Really Serious ROI.

Clarkson University is connected to the nation’s top employers and leaders in business, education, health care, engineering and technology.

Through a broad selection of curriculum specifically designed for and in partnership with industry leaders, a Clarkson graduate education has unparalleled world relevance in preparing its students to develop skills for today’s — and tomorrow’s marketplace. The deans and faculty for each academic program consult regularly with their own advisory councils comprising members representing industry leaders, alumni employers, research partners, think-tank consortiums, and peers in academia.  University teams survey, go out and meet, and bring back to the classroom members of the alumni network that is more than 40,000 strong.

We leverage these connections with our faculty’s own experiences and networks.  From Fulbright Scholars to working professionals collaborating with the titans of industry, the faculty at Clarkson offer graduate students an exceptional opportunity to connect the classroom experience to thought leadership and the workplace where they want to create future success.

Class sizes are intentionally small across all modes of learning — on-site, online and a hybrid of both, as well as suited for full-time and part-time students.  To facilitate lifelong connections to the larger Clarkson network, class time is designed to foster energetic discussions that encourage you to engage with other students as well as the faculty.  Case-study learning and capstone projects are prevalent across all programs of study, and accelerated options are available in business, engineering and education professional programs. Students can pursue independent research and study to align to career goals as well as access enrichment programs like international trips, service learning initiatives and hands-on learning opportunities sponsored by the University.

Our educational approach is proven to deliver long-term returns on investment.  According to the Brookings Institution, a Clarkson degree boosts graduates’ mid-career earning by more than 40% and is among the top 10 ROIs nationwide.  PayScale Inc. ranks Clarkson in the top 12 of Best Master’s Degree Granting Programs by salary potential.  And one in five Clarkson alumni is already a CEO, owner of a company or in a senior executive position.

Whether you want to deepen your knowledge in a specific field or pursue an advanced degree to accelerate your career growth, Clarkson’s personalized advising programs, Office of Career Services and Office of Alumni Relations can connect you to the resources and new networks you need to make these results your own.
